Develop your leadership skills with Young Hackney. Through the Youth Leadership programme, you can gain accreditation and valuable experience that will make your CV or application to college, university or for an apprenticeship shine.

Sports & Play Ambassadors Programme

The Sports & Play Ambassadors programme aims to give young people the opportunity to develop leadership skills, supporting the delivery of our sport and play activities for children in Hackney.

You will support play sessions at one of our adventure playgrounds or sports sessions in a community setting or at our Eastway site. You will have the opportunity to gain sports coaching qualifications, or accredited as part of the Physical, Skills or Volunteering sections of your DofE Award. For older participants there are pathways into an apprenticeship and part-time employment. The programme will improve your employability whilst having fun!

Last year’s cohort has already been on a residential trip, organised their own competition event and supported numerous activities across Hackney.
