This website was developed by young Hackney residents who attended the HYPE Web Construction sessions run by Point Blank Music College. Point Blank works closely with the borough of Hackney to provide a range of free music & film production, technology, performance and art activities and courses designed for, and in consultation with, young people. Founded in 1982, Connections Communications Centre is a registered charity dedicated to promoting cultural diversity and new opportunities in the media industry. They provide training, mentoring and job assistance to help open doors to the media industry for those excluded through lack of training and economic or social deprivation. Throughout the years, they have supported thousands of people in gaining employment in the film and broadcast industry or making films.

Are you interested in theatre?  Or want to write, dance and make music or MC?
The Hackney Empire’s Education Programme works with wide range of people from all walks of life and age groups, to help them to discover the creative skills and talents they never knew they had!  As well as running in-depth tours for school groups, creating projects related to shows we stage, and working partnerships with community and smaller organisations, they run three major projects with young people aged 14 to 18 years, including our flagship ADP project – where stars are made.
