Tell us what you think about the designs for Forest Road

There's still time to influence the proposed design for the new Forest Road centre. You can see the latest ideas for the Forest Road centre below, designed by MatthewLloyd architects. The four options for the cladding are 1) terracotta tiles 2) dark slate 3) aluminium and 4) wood. Tell us what you think through the online forum (see the menu on the right).

More about myplace

Hackney Council, in partnership with The Learning Trust, has been awarded nearly £5 million to upgrade three existing youth centres and build two completely new youth centres over the next two years. The programme is being funded through the government’s myplace programme.

The new centres will be:

Safe – a place for all young people to relax and have fun.

Exciting – with a range of activities and support available

Different – the centres will be unlike any youth centre you’ve seen before.

Where are the new centres?

There are five new centres, one in each of Hackney’s four neighbourhoods, and a flagship centre at Forest Road, in the heart of the borough.

Dalston: Forest Road

Shoreditch: Hoxton Hall - www.hoxtonhall.co.uk

Homerton: Concorde Centre

North East: Woodberry Down

Stoke Newington: Milton Gardens
