BASS Fest: Win tickets to Lovebox

A FREE four week programme looking at the associated risks of attending a summer festival. Open to all young people in Hackney between 13 – 19 years
This programme is being delivered by Hackney Young People Substance Misuse Service (BASS). Our aim is to provide young people with safety advice and raise awareness of the potential risks associated with attending festivals. During the programme, we will provide you with information on possession and use of drugs travelling to and from festivals; give you details on where to seek support and advice plus you will have the opportunity to join in various exercises, games and discussions around safety.
This programme is run over 4 weeks and last about 2 hours per session
Week One Registration and introductions
- Getting to know one another,
- What is a Festival?
- What’s essential to take to a festival
Week Two Safety and harm reduction
- Sexual health advice
- What not to carry, drugs, weapons
- How to look after yourself
Week Three First Aid and coping skills
- Basic First Aid
- Practise makes perfect
Week Four Endings

- Prgramme starts: Wednesday 18 May 2011, 4pm – 6pm
How can I join?
- You are either referred by a professional i.e your teacher or a youth worker or by contacting us yourself.
