Bolt runs 100m in 8 seconds... crowd go wild!

Thought about going to see the Olympics? Applied for tickets yet?

  • Nah, way too expensive...

If you're over 16 you can apply for tickets right now. Some tickets will be available for as little as £20 (£16 for people with disabilities and a free ticket for a carer). Not too shabby, when you're buying a ticket to the Greatest Show on Earth!

If you're under 16 you need your parent/carer to apply for tickets on your behalf. However, the good news is, if you're going to be under 16 on the 27 July 2012 you pay the same as your age (so if you're 12, you pay £12).

  • I don't have a Visa... plus you can only buy them online

Not true! You can apply using a form and pay by cheque or postal order. You can pick up a ticket application form from any branch of Lloyds TSB or from the Hackney Service Centre (1 Hillman Street - it's the big glass building behind the Town Hall) or at Hackney Central Library.

However, if your parent/carer has a Visa they can apply for tickets from the 2012 website: http://www.tickets.london2012.com/homepage.

  • I'll buy them closer to the time...

You won't be able to, the deadline for applying is 26 April (less than two weeks away).

This is a one-time only opportunity to see the finest athletes in the world competing for the ultimate prize.

See www.tickets.london2012.com/howtoapply.html for more information on how to apply.
