Last chance to become a 2012 Ambassador!
October 24th is the deadline to apply for the last few places left on the 2012 Ambassador programme.
If you haven't thought about being Ambassador before - here's three reasons why you should apply...
You'll help spread the word about the Games, getting other young people involved, making sure as many people in Hackney get to hear about opportunities on offer; help other young people get into sports through the Personal Best programme + you'll have the chance to do radio and TV interviews (but only if you want to).
You'll also help make sure there's a legacy for Hackney when the Olympic Park opens after the Games have finished.
You'll meet the Celebs: so far, 2012 Ambassadors have met up with Tim Westwood; seen Leona Lewis performing live at the Hackney Empire; seen diver Tom Daley in action at the One Year to Go ceremony
Not only that... they were on the panel that helped choose the acts for next year's Radio One Big Weekend (<< here's Nesrin making her selection). So if Tiny Tempah and Jessie J are on the bill - thank the Ambassadors!
You'll have a lot of fun! As an Ambassador you'll be working with other young people to make things happen -you'll be organising the events that will make the difference and make Hackney the place to be in 2012.
To apply, all you have to do is download the form using the link below and either email it back to the 2012 team or hand it in to a Young Hackney worker.
How do I get to be an Ambassador? I need to know!
Download the form and send it back to Thomas Smith at 1 Hillman Street, London E8 1DY - or hand it in to a Young Hackney worker at your local club.
If you have any questions about the application or the 2012 Ambassador programme please get in contact with Thomas Smith on 0208 356 3896 / 0752 385653 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
