You can make a difference

posted by: Administrator

The Youth Opportunity Fund is recruiting talented and motivated people to join the YOF panel.

This is a great opportunity for anyone aged 13 to 19 who wants to improve the range of things for young people to do. As a member of the panel, you will decide how £500,000 is spent on projects for young people in Hackney.

We need young people who live or attend school in Hackney and who want to make a positive difference. You need to commit to four Saturdays and six evenings in the week per year for panel meetings plus training days. As a member of the panel you will get accredited training in grant making and decision making, as well as gaining skills in leadership, diversity awareness and risk assessment.

Training dates for YOF panel members are:

  • Sat 1 May (Intro to Grant Making)
  • Sat 8 May 2010 (Decision Making)

*As a new panel members, you have to attend both training dates before you are allowed to take part in YOF panel decisions.
