Make a film with Ridley Scott

posted by: Administrator

Ok - bit of an exaggeration - you won't actually be working with the man who bought the world Gladiator - but you could make a film that will be used in his new film project Britain in a Day.

Ridley Scott's production company is asking people across Britain to film what they get up to on 12 November and upload the results on to YouTube. They want to make a snapshot of the lives of people in this country - young, old, rich, poor, from every kind of background.

Here's what the director if the film director says they're looking for:"We want honest, personal material which provides a real insight into your life and the life of the UK. And you don’t need to be a master filmmaker: you can use a camcorder or even your phone to make your film. It’s about passion, not technique."

To take part all you need is yourself and a camera. You can download some information here, together with some ideas about what you might like to film and some basic technical information.
