The results of the latest young hackney poll are in and it shows that the major cause of stress in your lives right now is EXAMS...
43% of you said that exams and school were the most stressful thing in your lives, 17% said that relationships were getting you vexed.
About an even 10% said money and families were the source of their woes, and about the same number said they were living a life untroubled. A small number of people said they were worried about bullying.
But enough about the stress - what about the solutions? If you are worried about money or bullying, there's some links to useful websites on our advice and support pages.
If you're most concerned about beating exam anxiety, then help is at hand. Hackney Youth Parliament is running a FREE workshop to help you reduce stress, relax and stay motivated for your exams. The workshop, which will be held on Tuesday 19 April 2:00 - 4:00pm at Hackney Town Hall, will:
- introduce simple relaxation activities and revision techniques
- change your perceptions of exams through your own personal Motivation Map: asking where you want to be in the future, how you are going to get there, who is in your support networks and what barriers you may face.
- help you build up your own support network with others, to share advice, tips and help
- point you in the direction of extra help and support if you need it.
