JLS shot to fame after becoming runner ups to Alexandra Burke on the fifth series of “The X Factor” in 2008. On the show “Louis Walsh” was their mentor, although they did not win they came 2^nd place! The boys have had ongoing success since their appearance on the show. The boy band consists of four members Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams, Aston Merrygold and Jonathon JB Gill.

JLS were signed to Epic records in 2009 and had success throughout the year. Their first two singles “Beat Again” and “Everybody in Love” both went to number one on the UK singles chart. They released their first album “JLS” in November 2009 selling over one million copies. Their genres of music are pop, RnB and Dance-pop. Their music ranges from calm to very up tempo kind of feel. Always guaranteed to get the crowd screaming, JLS have done a number of live performances!

The hardworking lads have won a few awards including “Best UK Newcomer” at the “MOBO Awards” and “British Breakthrough” at the “2010 Brit Awards”.  The boys have been working very hard over in the US where they were also signed to “Jive” (another record company) earlier this year!

Not only can you buy their music, they also have clothing with the “JLS” logo on it as well as some fancy jewellery!
