By now you have probably had a go on our brilliant remix machine. If you haven't .. here's a great reason for you to get started. As part of Discover Young Hackney 2011 - the young hackney site is running an exclusive competition for all you music makers. The winner will have their track used as the background music for the Young Hackney homepage… something to brag to your mates about!
The remix machine is so easy to use that even if you are a complete beginner you’ll be making banging tunes in no time. Build your track using our extensive library of loops and samples from various styles of music including Electro, Funky House, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop/R&B, and Rock. If you want to add that extra bit of interest you can even experiment with more advanced production techniques such as automation and panning. And once you have made your tune you can download it as an mp3 to keep, and even share it with your mates on facebook using the cool widget feature.
All you have to do to enter is to make a tune in the remix machine between 14th February and 14th March, then get people to comment and rate your tune by clicking on the stars.
The top 5 rated tunes made between those dates will be shortlisted and we will choose our favourite from them.
So head to the mixer page, turn up your speakers and get mixing!
