Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber appears to be the new cool kid on the block. The Canadian born star shot to fame after Scooter Braun (Bieber’s manager) saw his performances on Youtube. The 16 year old RnB/Pop singer was flown to Atlanta by Braun to meet singer/songwriter Usher where he did an audition and was signed to Island Records in October 2008. There were rumours that Justin Timberlake also wanted to sign Bieber.
The talented young boy grew up in a single parent family with his mum Pattie. With a love of music, Justin taught himself how to play the piano, guitar, drums and trumpet. Being the only child, Justin had a lot of support from his mother. She would often upload videos of her son covering various music tracks onto Youtube and pray that it will result in him getting a record contract – which it did.
Justin’s first single “One Time” was released to the radio whilst his album was being recorded in 2009. “One Time” reached Platinum in Canada and the US! What a massive achievement for such a young individual. Justin’s first album “My World” was released 17th November 2009 reaching Platinum is Canada and the US and Silver in the UK.
Justin’s hard work did not end there. He performed at the Whitehouse for President Obama and his wife Michelle over the Christmas period. Justin also appeared on various shows including “106 & Park” and “Saturday Night Live”.
There is rumours that singer Taio Cruz will be writing on Justin’s new album, which recording will start soon.
