2012 Ambassadors

Last week marked 2 years to go until the start of The Olympic games in 2012. Hackney was represented by the presence of two groups of Young people, the first group made up of seven 2012 Youth Ambassadors: Issy, Grace, Gbenro, Nadir, Alby, Shanience and Fatou. The young people had a fantastic time and were at the Velodrome to see Sir Chris Hoy and Boris cycle the first laps

They then moved on to the basketball arena and joined John Amaechi, the British former NBA and Ade Adepatain.

The 45 Minute special can be seen on the new BBC Olympic web page - Click on Michael Johnson!

At the Stadium the BBC took over and it was our second group of young people chosen from the Personal Best Programme (Whitmore, St John and Jerusalem and Colverstone School) This link was made when the BBC came to film the Personal Best finals this year.
