posted by: Administrator

Tao wins silverCongratulations to Tao Geoghegan Hart (pictured), who recently won a silver medal at the British Cycling Championships.

Tao rides for Cycling Club Hackney, which runs regular sessions at the Nightingale Estate and at Mabley Green.

HCC have uploaded some pictures from the Championships at http://www.flickr.com//photos/trackcycling/sets/72157627345434599/show/

In an interview with 24dash.com, Tao said his ambition is to make the top three in the British National Track Championships and to inspire young people to achieve their dreams.

He's also set himself some pretty awesome goals: “It’s really great racing on an international scale and representing your local borough.  I am very proud to be a part of Cycle club Hackney and I hope to inspire others and represent Great Britain in the Olympic Games one day.”

If you'd like to join Cycling Club Hackney, email Keir for information: Keir.Apperley@learningtrust.co.uk

You can also get FREE cycling training from Hackney Council. It's open to anyone who lives, works or studies in the borough. For more information or to sign up, please visit: www.hackney.gov.uk/cycle-training or email: cycletraining@hackney.gov.uk
