Grants for young Hackney athletes

Hackney Council's Youth Sports Fund could help you with the cost of equipment and training.

To apply for funding, you must be aged between 9 and 25, either live in the borough or attend school/college here, and participate in a sport recognised by Sport England (Aquathlon, ballroom dancing and mountaineering included!).

As part of the application you need to demonstrate you have some level of commitment to your chosen discipline, for example, something to show your current level or ranking.

Awards are made towards the costs of a specific competition, coaching course,
development camp or other similar event. Amounts given range between £50 and £500 and may cover: equipment, travel, accommodation, competition fees, specialist coaching fees, other similar expenditure. Club membership isn't included, though.
