Newington Rangers, already crowned Echo League A Division Champions with two games reamining in the season, travelled to the home ground of Avely FC, to contest the  final of the Echo Junior U15 Football League. John Mackinnon, from Access to Sports, posted in this match report:

"The final was fought out between the leaders and the second placed team in the Echo League U15 A division, this was the fourth time the two had faced each other this season, with NR winning the previous three meetings.

"The game started in a cagey manner with both sides testing and probing the other, Jays came at NR with an aggressive game plan, in which they attacked ferociously, only to be repelled by the strong defence, halfway through the first half NR’s efforts were rewarded with a well worked corner from the training ground, the ball was played out twenty yards up the sideline from where it was beautifully struck by David Boateng to sail over the keeper into the far corner of the net.

"The half ended with NR having most of the possession and more than a few chances to increase their lead.

"The second half  started with some pressure from Jays which NR stood strong against NR regained control of the game and pressed the game into Jays half  where they camped for most of the rest of the game, Jays kept them at bay with some aggressive tackling, halfway through the second half David Fasuyi stepped up to take a free kick 40 yards out, striking it sweetly and with power it ricocheted down from the crossbar, where it spun backwards into the net, towards the end of the game Lewis Danquah killed the game off with a deft series of touches to leave the jays defender stranded then struck the ball powerfully into the bottom corner of the net, the game ended 0 – 3 to Newington Rangers."
