With a little over two years until the Olympic flame is lit in the East of London you may well be wondering what benefits the Games are bringing to you, and to Hackney.
If you’re interested in finding out what the Games means for jobs, transport, culture and more in Hackney, come along to the Hackney 2012 Community Meeting on Thursday 18 March at the Hackney Wick Community Centre, 80 Eastway, E9 5JH. The event runs from 4 - 8pm.
You can take part in the Nintendo Wii Olympics competition and have the chance to win £100 of sports vouchers, and the event will feature the unique 'Mapping the Change' exhibition. Between now and 2012 Hackney Museum and Hackney Archives will be recording the changes to local people’s lives brought about by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
