Free training in sports and media

Volunteering is a way to gain skills. get experience for your CV and (of course) give something back. The Young Hackney volunteering programme offers young people opportunities in sports, media and journalism. If you want to find out what's in it for you, read Fola's story here.

Here's a list of some of the summer volunteering opportunities available through CSV (from July 26 – Sept 2)

• Hackney volunteer sports leaders required:  learn how to coach and how to be a sports leaders. Full training and qualification given, additional accreditation optional, expenses covered, FUN! Age: 14 – 19 years old
• Photography volunteers required: Free photography training and practice: learn how to take professional photographs and how to edit and change them. Put together an exhibition of your work for the public. Full training given, expenses covered, qualification given, FUN! Age: 13 – 19 years old
• Web design volunteers required: Free web design training and practice: Learn how to create a web site from scratch! Full training given, qualification achieved, expenses covered, FUN! Age: 13 – 19 years old
• Magazine editor volunteers required: We are looking for young people to help get involved in creating a youth magazine for Hackney, join the team and get involved! Expenses covered and accreditation given, FUN! Age: 13 – 19 years old.
