Paid Apprentice Role For Young Hackney

posted by: Administrator

If you're aged 16 or over with an interest in horticulture, you could apply to become an apprentice gardener with the Council.

Kayleigh Stirling,  currently an apprentice gardener with the Council, says: "Being given the opportunity to gain practical experience while attending college has been an ideal way to begin my career in horticulture, and the support available from colleagues and all of the Council staff is hugely beneficial. Working in the parks and green spaces in my local area is a wonderful experience, using what I have learnt to keep parks maintained to a high standard."

Applicants must live in Hackney, and if successful will receive a competitive salary of £15,036, plus training, mentoring and a qualification. Closing date for applications 31 January 2010.
