Screenings with Meaning: Shank

London 2015 - and the search for food has splintered the population and brought conflict to the streets. The Paper Chaserz steer clear of trouble, but a beef with local rivals spirals out of control. Soon they find themselves in a terrifying chase through the city, risking their lives in search of revenge.

Hackney Youth Parliament presents free screenings of the film Shank, starring Bashy, Adam Deacon and Kaya Scodelario. After the film, you'll be able to join in a debate about the film’s social issues. Does the film paint a realistic picture of street life? Or is this just the film industry hyping up myths about the inner city in search of an easy dollar?

Young people can reserve their seat by texting or calling: Mandy 07958 183 678, 020 8356 5433 or email

(Age restricted screening for young people aged 15 and over. U15s will not be admitted.)

Young people aged 16 could have their say in the Scottish referendum - is it time to lower the voting age in the UK?
