Shoreditch Youth Dance is a contemporary-based performance company  that offers 14 to 20 year olds the opportunity to work with professional teachers and choreographers. As well as encouraging creative skills within dance we provide guidance and advice on individual progression routes.

SYD was founded in January 2010 by  artistic director Lee Smikle. Supported by Richmix the company meet on a weekly basis to train and rehearse current projects and performance pieces. 

Although SYD is contemporary dance based it strives for versatility in its training and performances by inviting teachers and choreographers of different dance styles and approaches.
