Hackney Society

The Hackney Society works to preserve Hackney’s unique heritage and make the borough a better place in which to live and work. Formed in 1967, we involve and support local people in the conservation and regeneration of the borough. The Hackney Society’s aims are to: promote high standards of planning, architecture and conservation; give a voice to local people in future developments; educate and foster public interest in the history, architecture and character of the borough.
