worldbytes

WORLDbytes is the latest thing in experimental online news channels. They are home to a monthly alternative news programme which aims to get behind the headlines and promote a people-first perspective. Critical reports will put the case for a better life for all and expose everything and anything that smacks of inequality and moral hypocrisy. They are not impressed by the mass of non-news, celebrity nonsense, or by the current preoccupations with crime and people's weird problems. But they are not just shouting at the telly; they are serious about clarifying issues, understanding trends, challenging bad ideas and changing minds.

We want to spread the word, so feel free to download programmes, email segments to the powers that be, submit ideas and respond. Shot, produced, presented, edited and designed by a creative crew of volunteers, we are always open to newcomers but you have to "get with the programme" and be critical and creative. We learn to shoot "on the job" so skills are not the issue, although we’d like a lot more (and better) gear. We have next to no cash, so do back us if you like our news; we need your support.

Where did we spring from? We are the brainchild of volunteers working with the feisty charity WORLDwrite. We would like to say a special thank you to Bloomberg and the City Parochial Foundation for their vital support which allowed this project to go ahead.
