Hackney BMX club supports all abilities, building confidence, improving technique and gaining strength for all participants.
Established in June 2011, Hackney BMX is part of Access Sport’s BMX Legacy project to create five new model BMX clubs to give young people the opportunity to participate in the sport. This project runs in association with British Cycling, Hackney Council and the London Mayor’s office.
Our club sessions are run by fully qualified coaches with BMX-specific qualifications and valid CRB’s, First Aid and completed Child Protection and Safeguarding Training.
The aim of each session is to develop participant’s riding skills as well as creating an understanding of racing techniques. The club also owns a great start-gate, to practise race starts.
The club meets every Sunday at 10am - 12pm at the Haggerston track.
All abilities welcome. Limited supply of Bikes, helmets, gloves and pads available to use. Get there early to get kitted up!
Each session is £3 each, or £2 for members.
Membership costs £10 per year and comes with a free T-shirt!
Becoming a member of the club is extremely fun and rewarding! We are also always happy to have extra help from volunteers, so if you would like to get involved, don’t hesitate to call!
