Hackney Youth Parliament Debates: Who Do You Trust?

Tuesday 25 October @ 2.00pm - 4.30pm BST

Free

Do YOU want to make positive changes for young people in Hackney?

Are you a young person aged 14-19 (up to 25 with SEND) who is passionate about having your voice heard who lives, works or goes to school in Hackney?

Do you have something to say about the relationship between young people and the police? Or are you simply interested in debating, politics and listening to young people express their views? If so, then this is the event for you!

Hosted by young people for young people in the beautiful Council Chamber at Hackney Town Hall, the debate will focus on who young people feel they can trust and explore the relationship between young people and the police. This is your chance to debate about what Policing looks like in Hackney and how to improve engagement.

You can expect to see some police officers, local politicians, and professionals from education, children’s services and public health present at the event. This will allow you the chance to have your voices and opinions heard by some of those in a position to effect change! This will be an open debate and attendees will be given the opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas.

All young people wanting to attend should book your tickets soon to avoid disappointment as there are limited spaces available.

We will have goody bags available for those who attend and prizes for the best questions!

The event takes place in the school half term so you can attend!
