The Politics of Hair

The Politics of Hair

This Black History Season visit Concorde and take part in workshops looking at what influences and contributes to the hairstyles you choose and how it affects your identity.

You can then use this learning to challenge negative perceptions of body image in wider culture and on social media!

Perception means – the way something is thought about, understood or interpreted.

Body image means – a person’s view of themselves and their own body based on the standards set by society.
