Schools may contact their assigned Young Hackney representative using the details provided below to arrange any outreach sessions with Young Hackney.
The majority of secondary schools in Hackney already have an allocated Young Hackney team, who will work with school staff to identify students who require additional support to participate and achieve. If schools identify students who would benefit from individual support, generally they will work with Young Hackney staff to create an appropriate intervention within the school and/or community.
If there is no Young Hackney team working in the school, schools can contact the service via the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. Primary schools and other educational establishments such as colleges and after school clubs can also receive support from Young Hackney. Work with children of primary school age is mainly related to supporting children with the transition to secondary school and where the service is approached to work with individual children.
