Hackney Youth Parliament’s Pack to School Appeal 2024
Thank you for supporting our appeal to provide free school packs to young people who are starting secondary school this September.
Here is how you get involved:
- Purchase items for our school packs and post/hand deliver them to Forest Road Youth Hub, or order online. All items must arrive by Friday 2 August 2024.
- Fill out our Google Form to tell us what you’ve donated
- Be invited to our Big Thank You Event in August!
Each pack will contain a BRAND NEW:
- RUCKSACK
- PENCIL CASE
- SET OF PENS
- SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR
This will help families affected by the cost of living crisis provide their young people with a positive start on their first days at their new schools.
You don’t have to buy everything, so please donate whatever you can by Friday 2 August 2024.
All items should arrive before this date to ensure young people receive them before school starts.
We have suggested links below to help you do this, but you can order wherever you like. We are currently in urgent need of rucksacks, so please donate these where you are able to!
The easiest way to donate is to use your usual online shop to purchase items, and simply set the delivery address to our youth hub. For example, Amazon, Tesco Online, JD Sports and Sports Direct and more all deliver to our location.
Please buy only BRAND NEW equipment.
Any rucksacks purchased should be neutral in colour (black, blue, grey) so that they can be used by all students.

Please clearly mark donations for the Pack to School Appeal. You can also visit the above address Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 3.30pm to 7pm to drop off your donations. Please do not include any notes. Instead, fill out this Google Form with your details after you have sent your items so we can invite you to our Big Thank You Event at the end of August.
