The YOT is made up of different services that provide support like education, health, drugs & alcohol, connexions, housing etc.
Young people who successfully complete their court orders or preventative work also have the opportunity to get involved with the Youth Board which is part of the Hackney Youth Parliament.
This is a group of young people who have been involved with the YOT who meet up every six weeks, take part in training, plan events, influence decisions and discuss issues for young people involved in the criminal justice system, giving feedback or ideas are given to the YOT to help improve services. The Council also consults with the Youth Board about more general issues and services for young people in Hackney.
