2012 update: Mercy + Keisha's blog

posted by: Administrator

Mercy + Keisha, who are among the new 2012 Ambassadors, sent us a blog describing the first few week in their new roles:

13th Jan 2011 - 2012 Ambassadors - Session 1

Our first meeting with the 2010 group of Youth Ambassadors and the new Youth Ambassadors was quite good, as the senior Ambassadors explained most of the basics to us and the purpose of our roles as Youth Ambassadors.

The meeting  was also good as we learnt some of our peers names and interest via a team game with ‘bingo’ in which we found out other peoples interests and also the team quizzes this was great for learning names and getting to know each other and facts about the Olympics and Paralympics games.

To be chosen out of 85 applicants is truly amazing as we feel great being part of something that is spectacular and widely acknowledge internationally, also it is a nice feeling to know our community will be holding something special.

We hope to achieve a better skill of communication and responsibility and hope the rest of our journey Youth Ambassadors will be fun and interesting.
