Fantastic leadership opportunity

posted by: Administrator

Do you want to:

  • Influence how an organisation engages with young people?
  • Develop skills and experience?
  • Become a young leader?
  • Meet other inspirational young people from across the country?
  • Get paid to do all of the above!

Hackney Youth Service is working in partnership with Changemakers (a youth leadership charity), to recruit a young person, aged 16-25, to lead a project within the Youth Service.

The project will help us engage more effectively with young people. We recognise the importance of listening to, communicating with and involving young people in our work, but we need your support!

As part of the Changemakers Organisational Development programme you will have the opportunity to learn and develop alongside young people with the same passion, drive and commitment as you.

If your application to join the programme is successful, you will need to be available to attend a five day/four night residential from the 9th -13th April 2011 - the dates for this residential are fixed so unfortunately we won't be able to change it.

So, what do you think? Do you want to be a changemaker?

If you like what you have read, read the guidance notes then download the application form and email it to: beth.bolitho@hackney.gov.uk

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 9 March.

If your application is shortlisted Changemakers will be in touch by Wednesday 16 March 2011 to invite you the next stage of the process - 1 day selection day to be held on Tuesday, 22 March.
