Young Hackney

Hackney Museum was created in order to collect, preserve and interpret evidence regarding the history of Hackney and the worldwide roots of its people. It’s based in a new building which enables the exhibitions to be interactive through computers and touch screens. It runs a special events programme throughout the year and most of them are free, suitable for all ages and on a drop-in basis. For information on events and exhibitions visit the website or just pop around!

Regular opening hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday 9.30am - 5.30pm
  • Wednesday 9.30am - 5.30pm
  • Thursday 9.30am - 8.00pm
  • Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm
  • Saturday: 10am - 5.00pm
  • Sundays, Mondays, Bank Holidays: Closed
