Sutton House is Hackney's oldest family home, built in 1535 by Ralph Sadleir, friend and confidant of Henry VIII, Sutton House has been home to merchants, huguenots and even squatters in the 1980's.  It is now open to the public as a museum, furnished in various styles with original Tudor panelling to 1980's squatter's grafitti. 

Sutton House is a valuable community resource, running a wide range of events for all ages including, family days, over 55's sessions, school groups and creative arts sessions.  Please visit our wesite for more information
