Foundation Learning is a course designed to offer personalised learning for 16 – 18 year old learners to prepare them for employment, an apprenticeship or to go on to further education.
The Course comprises the following qualifications:
- City & Guilds Qualification in Employability and Personal & Social Development Skills Level 1
- City & Guilds Functional Skills Qualification in Maths, English and ICT at Levels 1&2
- City & Guilds Vocational Qualifications in Business Admin, Customer Service and Retail, Child Care
Foundation Learning Programme at Springboard Hackney is called “The Ladder” standing for Learn Achieve, Develop, Discover, Excel and Recognition.
The course runs for 24 weeks with 7 start dates throughout the year so there are many opportunities for young people to enrol.
Learners qualify for a weekly bursary ranging between £20 and £40 which is based on circumstances.
Also we are setting up Springboard Works a programme aimed at 19+ enabling them to gain valuable employability skills such as Maths, English, ICT and Personal Social Development and is skills tailored to their individual needs/circumstances.
