Black History Season 2025

Hackney Youth Parliament's Black History Season event in 2024

While we celebrate Black history all year, every year in Hackney, Black History Season is a time where we focus on celebrating the richness and diversity of Black heritage in the borough.

Our youth hubs and adventure playgrounds will be celebrating Black History Season, which runs from October to November. It’s a chance to learn and celebrate how Black history and culture have contributed to the Hackney we live in today.

Check out a snapshot of some of the activities below at Forest Road Youth Hub, The Edge Youth Hub, Shoreditch Adventure Playground and Stoke Newington Youth Hub. For more information, please contact each respective hub and adventure playground.
