Are humans slowly turning into robots?

Are we on the way to becoming cyborgs? Could Generation Z be more machine than human being? It’s not as science fiction as it sounds…

A cyborg is part human… part machine, and we may be coming to an age where we are all cybermen and cyberwomen. Look at the technology which is already out there – Google glasses mean that we interact with the world through the eyes of a machine.

Apple watches are another example, but there are other inventions just around the corner – one London company is looking at producing clothes that change colour and display tweets.

Pokemon Go
If you’re playing Pokemon Go, and interacting with the world through our phone, have you ever considered you’re on the way to becoming a cyborg?

Yes there are some serious downsides to tech – but, as a result of technology, we live longer, we can travel further, the world is a smaller place. If technology has caused some of the world’s problems – it could also be the solution.

Could you be part of the tech revolution?

If you can’t wait to jump on the tech train – you’re in the right place. Shoreditch is home to many of the world’s leading tech companies, and they frequently have jobs for young people with coding skills.

Take part in the Coding Week at Young Hackney centres, learn how to make simple computer games or improve on your existing skills.
