Summer half term 2024

The summer half term programme for young people aged 6 – 19 (25 with a special educational need and/or disability [SEND]) will take place over four days from 28 – 31 May 2024 (closed Bank Holiday Monday).

  • Juniors (6 – 12 years): Tuesday to Friday 10am — 3pm
  • Seniors (13 – 19 years, up to 25 with SEND): Tuesday to Friday 4pm — 8pm

  • Seniors (13 – 19 years, up to 25 with SEND): Tuesday to Friday 4pm — 8pm

Please note, there is a limit of 60 people per session daily.


Eastway, Young Hackney’s multi-use youth sports facility, will be running daily open access multi-sports sessions during this half term period.

Young Hackney’s adventure playgrounds, Shoreditch and Hackney Marsh, are also open for fun and exciting play activities for young people aged 6 – 15 (18 with SEND), Monday to Friday 10am — 5pm.

Young Carers

If you’re a young carer, you can also sign up for fun activities throughout the summer half term. You can view the Young Carers programme here.


All young people are required to have a Young Hackney membership to attend sessions. If you have submitted a membership form in the past, this does not need to be submitted again.

If you are currently not a member of Young Hackney, please print and complete the membership form and hand it into your preferred youth hub or adventure playground.
