The skies across London will be lighting up over the weekend with spectacular fireworks displays. Hackney residents can go to Clissold Park, but there’s the option of a couple of other choice offerings in neighbouring boroughs.

The official Hackney Fireworks display takes place on Bonfire Night (3 November) at Clissold Park. Gates open at 5;00pm and the display starts at 7:00pm. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children who live in the borough (prices are discounted for Hackney residents). Keep yourself safe around fireworks – they’re not toys. You can cause someone a serious injury if you use them inappropriately. By law, you can’t buy fireworks if you’re under 18 – and you can get a spot-fine of £90 for illegal use of fireworks.

Bit more expensive, but maybe more spectacular is the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival – there’s an acrobatics and a laser show included in the price of the ticket. It’s worth checking out if you live nearer to Manor House as you’ll get a panoramic view of the whole London skyline.

There is also a free display on Sunday 4 November in Victoria Park – you need to get to the Park at about 7:00pm and the event will finish at 10:30pm.
